History
Although the partnership between Nancy Broussard and Gail Romero officially began
in 1977 with the founding of Van Eaton & Romero Inc., the two had been friends
and colleagues long before then. After meeting in 1961, Nancy became an agent/broker
in 1965 and convinced Gail to earn her license and become a sales associate. While
their career paths led them in separate directions, the two joined forces again
in 1977, taking Lafayette's real estate industry by storm.
Nationally recognized as two of the most powerful women in real estate by Real Estate
Marketing and Relocation Magazine, Nancy and Gail built their agency on a philosophy
centered on education and innovation, and in doing so have created a firm that continues
to grow and be successful, embracing the latest technology and adapting to industry
changes.
Nancy and Gail now devote their time to managing. They maintain a support system
for their agents, providing an extensive amount of resources and equipment so their
agents are prepared for any situation. And, they are carefully planning the future
of the agency to insure that it will remain number one, both in volume and in customer
satisfaction.
Bill Bacqué joined Van Eaton & Romero in 1990. Beginning his career in nearby
Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1973, Bill was tempted back to his hometown Lafayette
in 1980 with the offer to manage another real estate agency. He later founded the
Acadiana School of Real Estate, teaching courses across the state and country for
four years. Bill then took the position as sales manager with Van Eaton & Romero,
which he served as for ten years, until he was named CEO and partner.
From his weekly agent meetings and serving as guest speaker to share his vast knowledge
of the real estate industry, Bill's contributions to Van Eaton & Romero are
felt far and wide. His vision for the company has always been one of success— individual
success for each agent, thereby leading to the overall success of the company. He
has diligently worked to achieve this success for Van Eaton & Romero, and has
done so by guiding the entire Van Eaton & Romero team to be their best, to work
smart, and to utilize all the invaluable tools Van Eaton & Romero provides to
its agents.

After serving an illustrious 13 years as a top agent with Van Eaton & Romero,
in 2005 Richard Tanory transferred into the position of Director of Agent Development
for the firm.
While working as an agent, Richard was renowned for his innovative client management
systems and other technological aspects of the real estate industry. He's carried
that expertise into his new position, always available to assist agents in multiple
facets of the business.
Richard's involvement branches out into the community as well. He has served on
the Board of Directors for Acadiana Youth and has been an active participant in
the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake event for numerous years.
Together, Nancy, Gail, Bill, and Richard prepare their agents with the skills, knowledge,
experience, technology, and resources so they can offer their clients and customers
the best service.
