Coco Dupont was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and lived there with her family until attending college at Boston University, Tulane University and University of Southwestern Louisiana. After six years, she received a Batchelor of Science, as well as a Masters of Science in Psychology in 1978. After a two year internship at Cypress Hospital, Bienvenu House and Pollux House, she became a licensed counselor and opened a private practice specializing in anxiety disorders. She ran support groups in addition to her practice after being trained under Dr. Arthur Hardy in Menlo Park, California. During this period of time, she did informational workshops at Lafayette General and Women?s Hospital on Panic, Social Phobia and Overcoming Avoidant Behavior. In addition to her profession, Coco has been active within her church community and Theresians, and has been a volunteer for Hospice of Acadiana, the Acadiana Humane Society and Autumn Breeze nursing home. After retiring from her private practice, Coco wanted to find a second career in which she could best apply her skills of listening communicating and problem solving. After much deliberation, she attended real estate school and became a licensed realtor. She received a gold award for sales production after her first year. Then in January of 2006, she became a member member of the Teresa Hamilton Team at Van Eaton and Romero. She utilizes her listening, communication and problem solving skills to help her clients achieve a peaceful and profitable experience when buying and selling a home. She feels she has truly found a rewarding second career where she has the opportunity to work to assist those in need and give them her very best knowledge, effort and time. Coco is married to Luke Dupont and has four grown boys and a Labrador retriever.
